Kano Pillars FC midfielder, Yusuf Bala Maigoro have been included in the 20-man players that would be on parade against Heartland FC in the Match Day 18 of the ongoing 2020/2021 Nigeria Professional Football League season to be played at the Ahmadu Bello stadium, Kaduna, today, Sunday 28th March 2021.
It could be recall that the midfielder was suspended for three matches by the League Management Company of Nigeria (LMC), during the week 15 encounter against Rangers Int’l FC of Enugu.
Maigoro was given the matching orders by center Referee, Wale Adeniyi from Oyo state for what seem to be a poor challenge.
According to the Media Officer of Kano Pillars FC, Rilwanu Idris Malikawa said, Maigoro is in Kaduna with the rest of the players and very ready to continued from where he stopped in ensuring the club ended the season as champions.
The seasoned journalist said what happened to Maigoro served as a great lesson to other players and assured that such incident would not repeat itself.
Meanwhile, Malikawa said as Maigoro returned to the team after missing three matches due to suspension, the Sai Masu Gida will miss the services of flamboyant attacker, Auwalu Ali aka Malam for an injury sustained during the team’s training in Kano.
Therefore, Okon Aniekeme Asuquo is sets to replace Auwalu in the match against Heartland.
The four-time Nigeria Professional Football League champions are 3rd on the 20-team NPFL log with 30 points from 17 matches and just goal difference differentiate them with 1st place, Kwara Utd.
