General coordinator of former Nigeria Professional Football League champions, Kano Pillars FC, Alhaji Salisu Yaro aka Maigida, has strongly denied the report making round in the media that its former player, Theophilus Afelokhai, was the brain behind the signing of Super Eagles captain, Ahmad Musa by the club.
Maigida stated this in a chat with www.kano-pillars.com on Thursday in Kano while reacting to the statement credited to Afelokhai in some media across the country.
Alhaji Salisu said, he was surprised when he read the false statement by Afelokhai that he was the one who facilitates Ahmad Musa’s registration at Kano Pillars FC which he described as baseless and untrue.
“Let people always be objective in their dealings not just be pretenders,” Salisu added.
He said, the ex Leicester City forward was signed based on merit and his exploits against the Sai Masu Gida when he was at Juth FC in the last match of the 2008/2009 season played at the Sani Abacha stadium, which the management and technical crew approved.
The former VVV-Venlo striker scored 18 goals in 25 league matches for the Pride of Kano in the 2009/2010 season.
