Kano Pillars FC players would resume training collectively whenever the Nigeria Football Federation gives such directives.
This was disclosed by the Chairman of the club, Alhaji Surajo Shuaibu in a meeting with the players and technical crew of the National champions at the club’s Secretariat on Tuesday 7th July, 2020.
Alhaji Surajo said it’s necessary for the club to abide by the Federation’s directives and warned players of the club to avoid things that are contrary to the Football authorities in the state and the nation in general.
“We are law abiding citizens and that is why we are patiently waiting for the NFF directives before we resume back to training, Jambul said.
It could be recall that the 2019/2020 Nigeria Professional Football League season has been put to a halt due to the Covid-19 pandemic by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF.
The Chairman expressed his delight with the health condition of the players and urged them to keep maintaining their life styles according to the laid down rules by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC that is in line with Covid-19 preventive protocols.
He therefore reminded them of the task ahead of the club and urged them to be fully focused considering the forthcoming 2020/2021 NPFL season and the imminent continental engagement that awaits the club.
Earlier, Technical Adviser of the club, Ibrahim A. Musa aka Jugunu has commended the state Government and the leadership of the club for prompt payment of players and the technical crews salaries without delay despite the current economic issues caused by the novel CoronaVirus.
He said, it’s mandatory for the players and technical crew to tightened up their belts in order to make the state Government and fans of the club happy by winning all available titles.
The Sai Masu Gida are the current holders of the Nigeria’s oldest cup competition, the Aiteo cup which they won after beating Niger Tornadoes of Minna in the final in 2019.
