Kano Pillars Football club decried over non payment of the 2019 Aiteo cup winning prize money by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF.
This was disclosed by the Spokesman of the club, Rilwanu Idris Malikawa in a statement made available to www.kano-pillars.com.
Malikawa said the club is yet to received any response from the Nigeria Football Federation two months after beating Niger Tornadoes FC in the final.
The statement then urged the Federation to direct the sponsors of the competition, Aiteo Group to release the sum to the Sai Masu Gida which Malikawa said the club is in need of.
The statement further said that the four time NPFL champions are yet to received their runners up prize money for the 2018/2019 Nigeria Professional Football League Season from the League Management Company of Nigeria, LMC.
He therefore urged the LMC to release the sum before the commencement of the 2019/2020 NPFL season which is expected to kickoff in no distant time.
“A lot of people are putting too much pressure on us by asking how much the club received from the Federation and the League Management Company for emerging as the 2019 Aiteo cup champions and runners up for the 2018/2019 league season but up to now, no kobo have entered our purse either from the NFF or LMC, Malikawa explained.
The Nigerian Giants are currently intensifying preparations ahead of the 2019/2020 Football season and are aiming to retained the Aiteo cup as well as the league title.
