Chairman of Kano Pillars FC, Alhaji Surajo Shuaibu Jambul, has commended ex player of the club and the super eagles of Nigeria defender, Shehu Abdullahi for supporting the club from his based in Cyprus.


The Athletic Club Omonoia Nicosia iron man was spotted on Wednesday watching the cracker between the four-time Nigeria Professional Football League champions and Rivers Utd at the Ahmadu Bello stadium, Kaduna via the App.



Shehu Abdullahi, who played for the Pride of Kano between 2012 – 2014 wrote on his official Facebook page with a caption ‘watching my team live PILLARS MASU GIDA’ generated positive reactions from the fans.


However, Alhaji Surajo Jambul said it is highly commendable for such a support from an ex player who has gone on to play for top European club sides and the Super Eagles of Nigeria.


In another development, the management of Kano Pillars FC, under the able chairmanship of Alhaji Surajo Shuaibu Jambul, has reminded the players of the club to remain focus and continued to be good ambassadors of the government and good people of Kano state.


The Sai Masu Gida are currently enjoying a good run of results in the 2020/21 Nigeria Professional Football League season. The team have so far played 6 matches, won 3, drawn 2 and lost just once and are sitting 5th on the NPFL log with 11 points, 3 points adrift of 1st place, Nasarawa Utd FC.



The coach Emmanuel Lionel tutored side arrived Enugu, Thursday evening after a 12-hour journey from Kaduna and would proceed to Akwa Ibom on Friday ahead of their Match Day 7 clash against Akwa Utd.


Akwa Utd Vs Kano Pillars will be beam live via the Nigeria Television Authority, NTA and the App.
