Kano Pillars FC will be without the services of central defender, Gerome Henchong, when they files out against Enyimba Int’l on Sunday in the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, Match Day 5.
According to the media officer of the club, Rilwanu Idris Malikawa said the defender would be out of action for at least two weeks due to a ligament injury he sustained during the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, Match Day 4 at home to Plateau Utd.
Malikawa said the medical team had confirmed that the giant defender would resumes back to training in two weeks time.
Gerome have played in all the Sai Masu Gida matches in the ongoing 2020/21 NPFL season for 90 minutes except the Plateau Utd’s game which he lasted for only 67 minutes due to the injury.
The seasoned journalist admits that the Pyramid city side will greatly missed him on Saturday but it will not affects their performance as other players are ready to stepped in to cover the void left by Gerome.
