Four-time Nigeria Professional Football League champions, Kano Pillars FC, have expressed deep shock over the fire incident that razed the team buss of fellow Nigeria Professional Football League side, Wikki Tourists FC of Bauchi at Hawan Kibo in Riyom LGA, Plateau state on their way to Akwa Ibom to honor the Match Day 11 of the 2020/21 NPFL season.
In a statement signed and made available to www.kano-pillars.com by the Media Officer of the club, Rilwanu Idris Malikawa Garu on Thursday in Kano said, the chairman of the Sai Masu Gida, Alhaji Surajo Shuaibu Jambul, players, technical crew and the entire family of the club were disturbed when they heard about the sad incidents.
Malikawa described the incident as unfortunate especially in this critical condition and has prayed to Almighty Allah to prevent future occurrence.
Wikki Tourists are scheduled to play against Dakkada in the Match Day 11 of the Nigeria Professional Football League season at the weekend.
