Despite sitting on the 17th position on the log with just 3 points from five matches and trailing league leaders, Plateau Utd by a whooping 11 points, technical adviser of Kano Pillars, Ibrahim Musa Jugunu has stated it in ‘bold term’ that he is still optimistic that the national cup holders would emerged champions at the end of the ongoing 2019/2020 NPFL season.
Coach Ibrahim Musa stated this during a post match conference after the Week Six goalless draw with league leaders, Plateau Utd in Jos on Sunday.
He said gradually, the team is gathering some momentum and the spirit of the players has been revived lately.
“For two straight seasons, we ended as the runners up in the league, so our main target now is to end the 2019/2020 season as champions, Coach Ibrahim Musa emphasized.”
He said his players have done marvelously in all the matches they have played so far but shaking the back of the net is his main obstacle.
The record breaking Coach commended the teeming fans of the club that sponsored themselves to chaired the team on Sunday and has promised not to let them down in the subsequent matches.
The four time league champions who were only able to garnered just 3 points from five league matches will head straight to Uyo for their Match Day Two rescheduled fixture against Akwa Starlets on Wednesday 4rd December, 2019.
Spokesman of the club, Rulwanu Idris Malikawa said the team will leave Jos, the capital city of Plateau state on Monday for Uyo.
