The latest development reaching the Camp of four time league Champions, Kano Pillars FC is that their Match Day 2 trip to Akwa Starlets in the ongoing 2019/2020 Nigeria Professional Football League Season, NPFL, slated for Saturday, 9th November, 2019 at the Godswill Akpabio International stadium, Uyo, the Akwa Ibom state Capital has been called off.


This is according to the media officer of the Sai Masu Gida, Rulwanu Idris Malikawa in a released made exclusively available to


Malikawa said the match was postponed until further notice due to the Super Eagles involvement in the qualification series for the 2021 African Nations Cup.


The Super Eagles will start camping for their opening game of the qualifiers against Benin Republic slated for next weekend and the stadium will be use by the Eagles for training and for the game proper.


He further stated that a new date for the game would be communicated in due course by the League Management Company of Nigeria, LMC.


With the latest development, the National Champions are free this weekend and would have to wait for their Match Day 3 cracker against Lobi Stars at the Sani Abacha stadium, Kofar Mata, Kano.


Kano Pillars have began their 2019/2020 Nigeria Professional Football League Season, NPFL, with a stalemate draw at home against Rivers Utd on Sunday 3rd November, 2019.
