The newly crowned Village Head of Malikawa Garu of Bichi Local Government Area of Kano state, Alhaji Idris Malikawa Garu has thanked the Emir of Bichi, Alhaji Nasiru Ado Bayero for the success recorded during his traditional turbaning ceremony as the Village Head of Malikawa Garu held at the Bichi Emir’s Palace on Tuesday.
The ace journalist succeeded his late brother, ASP Hamza Idris as the 8th Dankarfau of Bichi Emirate.
Malikawa also commended the effort of the District Head of Bichi (Dan Darman Bichi), Alhaji Abdulhamid Ado Bayero as well as the great people of Malikawa Garu for their support and cooperation.
“I will like to extend my appreciation to the Emir of Bichi, Alhaji Nasiru Ado Bayero, the District Head of Bichi (Dan Darman of Bichi), Alhaji Abdulhamid Bayero and all those who contributed towards the success of my turbaning as the Village Head of Malikawa Garu, Malikawa said.
“My special thanks goes to the good people of Malikawa Garu for their support and cooperation for giving me this mandate, I promise them an all inclusive leadership insha Allah, Malikawa concluded.
The colourful event witness some big dignitaries from within and outside the state that includes Kano state FA Chair, Alhaji Dr. Sharif Rabiu Inuwa Ahlan, Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau, Alhaji Babagana Kalli, past and present chairmen of Kano Pillars FC (Alhaji Tukur Babangida and Alhaji Surajo Shuaibu Yahaya), Nigeria Professional Football League coaches that include Abdu Maikaba of Plateau Utd and Ibrahim Musa Jugunu of Kano Pillars.
Others are players of various denominations of Nigeria Leagues such as the captain of Kano Pillars, Rabiu Ali, Rahaqqu Adam, Journalists from various media organizations as well as the leadership of Kano Pillars FC Fans club under the chairmanship of Alhaji Idris Mu’azu Jide.
