Former Nigeria Professional Football League champions, Kano Pillars FC has sent a condolence message to the Council Secretary of the Nigeria Referees Association Kano State chapter, Abubakar Safiyanu over the death of his father, Alhaji Safiyanu, who passed away on Friday 3rd April, 2020.
In a statement signed by the club’s spokesman, Rilwanu Idris Malikawa said the chairman of the club, Alhaji Surajo Shaaibu Jambul, players and technical Crew were shocked when they had the sad news of his demise.
Malikawa described late Alhaji Safiyanu as a gentle man, who devoted his entire life in humanity services and had left a vacuum that will be difficult to fill.
“On behalf of the entire management, players and the whole Kano Pillars football family, we are hereby condoling the family of the deceased and prayed to Almighty Allah to give him jannatil firdausi, the statement said.
Late Alhaji Safiyanu died yesterday, Friday 3rd April, 2020 at his Residence in Koki Quarters, Kano city and has left behind many children and grandchildren.
He has since been buried according to the Islamic rites.
