Players and technical crew of the Nigeria Professional Football League side, Kano Pillars FC, have been charged to be fully focused on how to qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup second round at the expense of Senegalese giants, ASC Jaraaf.
The Sai Masu Gida lost the first leg clash by 3 goals to 1 to ASC Jaraaf in far away, Dakar on Saturday.
The call was made by the Chairman of the club, Alhaji Shuaibu Yahaya aka Jambul while addressing the players and technical crew at the club’s Secretariat Monday morning before their departure to Kaduna ahead of the 2nd leg clash on Saturday 5th December, 2020.
The National champions returned to the country on a chattered flight Sunday morning through Malam Aminu Kano International Airport.
Alhaji Surajo charged them to put aside the result of the first leg and concentrate on how to canceled the two goals deficit.
He assured them that the continental committee sets up by Kano state Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and headed by the state’s Deputy Governor, Dr. Nasir Yusuf Gawuna would continue to give priority to their welfare in order to boost their morals.
“You are the actors and our own is to support. Su put it at the back of your minds that we are going to succeed in this competition despite the first leg’s result, Jambul added.
He reaffirmed his determination that the team is not going to disappoint the Kano state Government, the good people of the state and the country’s football fans in general.
He finally called on the fans to continue to rally round the team and intensify prayers ahead of the match on Saturday.
The four-time Nigeria Professional Football League champions will fight dirty for the next round ticket against their visitors, ASC Jaraaf of Senegal at their adopted home, Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna, on Saturday 5th December, 2020.
