Kano Pillars Football club players and Technical crew leaves Kaduna this morning Thursday to Abuja.

This is according to the spokesman of the club Rilwanu Idris Malikawa.

Malikawa said they would spend a day in Abuja and would directly fly to Accra, Ghana, on Friday via Nmandi Azikwe International Airport to honour their CAF Champions League second leg encounter against Asante Kotoko.

Malikawa also said that during the club’s four days closed camping in Kaduna, they played two friendly matches at Ahmadu Bello Stadium.

They played out a 1-1 draw against Zaria Nasara FC while in the second match, they thrashed Kaduna Selected by three goals to nil.

In his reaction, Technical Adviser of the Sai Masu Gida Ibrahim A. Musa said they played the friendlies to sharping the tactics of the team and correct some mistakes observed during the first leg against Asante Kotoko.

“No doubt, the two warmup matches gave us the courage and hope that we are going to make Government, good people of Kano State and country as a whole proud in Ghana”, Coach Ibrahim said.

The Pride of Kano thrashed the Ghanaian side by three goals to two and would look forward to caused them more havoc when they files out on Sunday at the Babayara Stadium in Kumasi.
