The Commandant, 3 Brigade, Nigeria Army, Bukavu Barrack, Kano, Brigadier General B.A. Alabi has charged Kano Pillars FC to tightened their belts so as to make their fans in the country proud in the forthcoming 2020/2021 CAF Confederation cup.
Brig. General B.A. Alabi made this called when he received Kano Pillars FC Chairman, Alhaji Surajo Shuaibu Yahaya in his office on Wednesday in Kano.
The Commandant described the round leather game as a unifying factor that unites the country irrespective of religion, ethnic group, region or culture.
The Commandant who was represented by the Sports Officer of the Command, E. Captain Malachi said the command’s door remain open for the Sai Masu Gida and will always be ready to render any kind of assistance to the success of the National champions.
He expressed delight for the visit which he said will promote the existing relationship between the Military, their families inside the Barrack and the outside community.
Finally, the commandant commended the state’s sports commission for assisting the command with sporting kits for both boys and girls in the Barrack which he said has helped their words greatly to performed well in organized competitions outside their domain.
Earlier, the Chairman of the club, Alhaji Surajo Jambul has said they were in his office as part of his visit to the security chiefs in the state.
Alhaji Surajo informed the commandant that the club will be one of the only four teams to represent Nigeria in the upcoming 2020/2021 CAF Confederation cup based on their Aiteo cup triumph a season ago.
He assured that the four-time NPFL champions will not disappoint the Kano state Government, good people of the state and Nigerians as a whole.
