Kano Pillars speedy forward, Auwalu Ali Malam aka ‘Malam Action’, has opened his goal account in the 2020/21 Nigeria Professional Football League season (NPFL), for the Sai Masu Gida on Monday, and he has promised to help them win more games with his goals.


Malam Action, who scored 11 goals for the Pride of Kano last season in an interview with said he is pleased to have scored his first goal in a 1-0 away victory over Ifeanyi Ubah in Monday’s Nigeria Professional Football League Match Day 9 encounter at the Adokiye Amiesimaka stadium, Port Harcourt.


The dazzling forward scored the only goal of the game that gave coach Emmanuel Lionel Soccoia all the 3 points through a free kick and has vowed to to scored more goals for the club.


“I am happy to score my first goal this season against Ifeanyi Ubah. Despite not scoring in 8 games, am still optimistic that I will score more goals and help the team achieved its target of winning the NPFL at the end of the current campaign,” Auwalu Malam said.


Malam, who help the Kano darlings to their first Aiteo cup title in 2019, said together with his team mates, they missed playing at the Sani Abacha stadium, Ƙofar Mata, Kano. He said Kaduna is a perfect home for the team but the atmosphere at the Sani Abacha stadium is extraordinary.


Kano Pillars FC have been playing at the Ahmadu Bello stadium Kaduna, their adopted home due to the Sani Abacha stadium being converted to Covid-19 isolation center by the Kano state Government.


He commended the management of the club under the leadership of Alhaji Surajo Shuaibu Jambul for the top notch support and has promised to reward the club and the state government with the NPFL title as well as a continental football.


On the Sai Masu Gida preparation for the Match Day 10 against MFM FC of Lagos…….. The striker said they would approach the game just like any other tie and their ultimate goal is the 3 points.


The national champions will play host to MFM FC on Sunday in the Match Day 10 of the ongoing NPFL season.
