Kano Pillars FC chairman, Alhaji Surajo Shuaibu Yahaya has commended the teeming fans of the club for coming out in their large number and for their support during the 6-1 victory over Delta Force FC on Sunday.
The chairman stated this in a statement signed by the image maker of the club, Rulwanu Idris Malikawa and made available to www.kano-pillarsfc.com on Monday.
He described the conduct of the fans during the encounter as commendable and urged them to be steadfast and pray for the success of the team.
“Coming out in this huge number after three closed-door matches has motivated the team hence, the big scoreline on Sunday, Alhaji Surajo said.
He called on both the technical crew and the players to put the 6-1 bashing of Delta Force behind them and focus on the challenges ahead.
“Bouncing back to victory after a poor start is a collective efforts of the management, players, technical crew and the entire fans of the club as well, whom sacrifice themselves in supporting and praying for the success of the club”, Alhaji Surajo added.
He thanked the Kano state Government for its financial and moral support and assured the Government that the management of the team would not relent on its effort in moving the club to the next level.
The Sai Masu Gida whitewashed fellow NPFL side, Delta Force by 6-1 on Sunday at the Sani Abacha stadium and are now 10th on the log with 9 points from six matches.
They would travel to Lafia and face struggling Nasarawa Utd on Sunday with the hope of extending their unbeaten record in the league.
