Players and technical crew of Kano Pillars FC have arrived Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa state two days to their Match Day 3 encounter with Nasarawa Utd FC in the ongoing 2020/21 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
The Sai Masu Gida are billed to take on the solid miners on Sunday at the Lafia city stadium.
Prior to their departure on Friday morning at the club’s Secretariat, chairman of the club, Alhaji Surajo Shuaibu Jambul has charged them to be focus when they files out against Nasarawa Utd on Sunday.
He said, the essence of arriving Lafia two days ahead of the clash is for the team to have a rest and be comfortable before Sunday.
‘With what I have been witnessing lately, the commitment you are showing in the training programs, I have a firmed believed we would make it on Sunday’, Jambul said.
Responding to on behalf of the players, team captain, Rabiu Ali aka ‘Pele’ has assured that they would do their best to consolidate on what they have achieved in the past two games played in the league.
The national champions are expected to conduct a light training Saturday evening at the Lafia city Stadium, venue of the match.
According to the Media Officer of the club, Rilwanu Idris Malikawa, all the players in the team are in high spirit and everyone of them is ready for the match.
The last fixture between the two clubs at the Lafia city Stadium ended in a goalless draw.
