Kano Pillars FC have qualified for semi finals of the ongoing maiden edition of Governor Dare Abiodun pre-season Football tournament holding at Ijebu-Ode, Ogun state.

The Sai Masu Gida will play either Remo Stars or Rivers Utd FC pending to last group match between Warri Wolves and Remo Stars FC tomorrow morning.

The Aiteo Cup Champions qualified to semi finals as ‘best losers’ in the tournament after winning two matches out of three.

The first semi final will be played by 2:00pm tomorrow, Sunday 29th September, 2019 between Shooting Stars and Lobi Stars in the main bowl of Ijebu-Ode Stadium while Pillars will take on the winners between Remo Stars or Rivers Utd.

The winners of the two semi finals will clash in the final on Monday 30th September, 2019.

Reacting on how the tournament is going, Kano Pillars FC Chairman, Alhaji Surajo Shaaibu Yahaya commended the organizers on the way things are going but urged them not take things for granted.

“In every organized competition like this, one way or the other there must be some lapses somewhere else but they are trying alot, the chairman emphasized.

He then charged his players to go all out tomorrow for victory in the semi final in order to reach the final and subsequently won the cup.
