National champions, Kano Pillars FC will be without the services of two key players when they files out against Abia Warriors on Wednesday at the Umuahia Township Stadium in one of the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, MD 13 fixtures.
The players in question are both playing at the heart of the Sai Masu Gida’s defence and they are Abdullahi Musa and Emanuel Anyawu.
Coach Ibrahim Musa will be in serious dilemma by now as the pair have been solid all season.
According to the Mouthpiece of the club, Rilwanu Idris Malikawa, Musa did not travelled with the rest of the squad to Umuahia due to head injury while Anyawu got sick while on their way to Abia.
Abdullahi Musa suffered a head injury during 1-1 draw at home to Warri Wolves at the weekend while Emanuel Anyawu is suffering from Malaria fever.
When addressing the team shortly after their shake up training at the Umuahia Township stadium yesterday, technical adviser of the team, Ibrahim Musa is not fazed with their absence for the encounter.
“With the crop of players on ground, I think they is no cause for alarm, Coach Musa said.
He said that his team was not built on a particular player and every player that was registered by the club is equal to the task when call up.
He therefore charged his Boys to go all out for the three points at stake.
On his part, chairman of the club, Alhaji Surajo Shu’aibu Yahaya has urged the players to be focus as always and forget their bitter 1-1 draw at home to Warri Wolves on Sunday.
He said that the Government and good people of Kano state are behind them and would always be there for them.
The four time Nigeria Professional Football League champions are in search of their 8th successive matches unbeaten and would be aiming to grab the maximum points on Wednesday.
