Four time league champions, Kano Pillars FC have extended its unbeaten record in the ongoing 2019/2020 Nigeria Professional Football League season to twelve games after playing out a 2-2 draw away to Sunshine Stars of Akure in one of the Match Day 17 fixtures on Sunday.
While speaking to www.kano-pillars.com, technical adviser of the Federation cup holders, Ibrahim A. Musa has expressed his satisfaction with the result and has also praised the commitment of his players for their never say die attitude after coming from behind twice through Anthony Omaka in either sides of the game.
Auwalu Ali Malam also scored twice for the Sai Masu Gida in the 47th and 70th minutes of the encounter.
“We came for the 3 points at stake but we thanked God Almighty for the draw, Coach Ibrahim Musa said.
According to the experienced tactician, the performance of his players in the first half was below expectations but were able to correct their loopholes after the break which resulted to the positive response.
