Kano Pillars rave of the moment Auwalu Ali Malam was to the rescued as Kano Pillars FC came from behind to settled for a deserved 2-2 draw away to Lobi Stars in a Match Day 23 of the 2019/2020 Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL.

 

The Makurdi based side opened the back of the net in the 8th minutes of the encounter through Carlos Galeya before Samad Kadiri double their lead in the 18th minutes through a penalty kick.

 

Auwalu Ali reduced the deficit with a well taken strike from Fahad Usman’s assists in the 42nd minutes of the game.

 

The speedy forward completed his brace for the evening after he was sets through by Chijioke Alaekwe in the 68th minutes.

 

In a post match presser, technical adviser of the former Champions, Ibrahim A. Musa said they were in Makurdi for the maximum points but thanked Almighty Allah for the draw recorded.

 

He maintained that he had planned very well for the match in order to show the homers a different Pillars from the one they faced in the Match Day 3 of the ongoing season.

In his reaction, Pillars goal scorer for the evening, Auwalu Ali thanked Almighty Allah and has dedicated the two goals to the Kano State Government and the entire family of the Sai Masu Gida.

 

He showered praises on the technical crew and his team mates for the support and courage he is getting on a daily basis and has assured to do everything humanly possible to score more goals for the success of the club.

 

Media Officer of the National champions, Rilwanu Idris Malikawa reports that the two goals scored by Auwalu Ali has taken his tally to 9 goals for the season and is on course to battle for the NPFL top scorer award come the end of the current season.
