Kano Pillars FC giant central defender, Abdullahi Musa has scooped the Man of the match award courtesy of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN, Kano state chapter in the Sai Masu Gida’s nil nil home draw against Rivers Utd in the Nigeria Professional Football League on Sunday.

 

The former Wikki Tourists FC player has dedicated the award to his team mates and the entire family of the club.

 

Abdullahi who spoke to www.kanopillarsfc.com thanked the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN, Kano state chapter for their for the initiation of the award that is giving to the most outstanding player in every Pillars home home games.

 

He described the award as a motivational factor to players in the League.

 

“I’m happy for the award but I’m not happy with result of the match because we didn’t expected it to end in a nil nil situation but we accept it in good faith, Abdullahi said.

 

He said they learnt a lesson in Sundays match and is a wake up call to them and by God Grace, the fans would see changes in subsequent matches.

 

The Sai Masu Gida will next travel to Akwa Ibom on Sunday 10th November, 2019 and have a date with newly promoted Akwa Starlets FC.
