The Management of Kano Pillars FC has described the death of its former player, Aminu Tahir as shocking and a great loss to the football family in Kano state and Nigeria in general.
This was contained in a statement signed by the club’s image maker, Rilwanu Idris Malikawa in a condolence message sent to the family of late Aminu Tahir.
“On behalf of the club chairman, Alhaji Surajo Shuaibu Yahaya, players, technical crew and the entire fans of the club, we prayed to Almighty Allah to have mercy on late Aminu Tahir and make Jannatil Firdausi his final abode, the statement added.
The statement further said that the camp of the club in Kaduna was in total shocked and was quiet for some time when the news of Tahir’s death broke.
Malikawa described the deceased as a committed, honest, discipline and dedicated player during his playing days and urged young players of present generation to emulate his good habit.
Aminu Tahir who played for the four-time champions from 1999 – 2008 died on Monday 28/10/2019 after a brief illness.
Meanwhile, players and officials of the club whom are currently in Kaduna for a one week close camping ahead of the 2019/2020 NPFL season expected to kick off on the 3rd of November, 2019 organized a special prayer session for the soul of late Aminu Tahir seeking Allah’s Rahama on him.
