Newly appointed Chairman of the Aiteo Cup holders, Alhaji Surajo Shu’aibu Yahaya has charged the players and officials of the Sai Masu Gida to be discipline, determine and most importantly give him the maximum support so as to move the club to a greater height.
The Chairman made this known while addressing the players in their Kaduna camp.
He said that being an ex Football himself has given him an added advantage and has said that his door is always open.
“I have been a Footballer throughout my life, right from the Primary School and wherever I found myself, I used to be a leader not a Boss so am not going to be a Boss to you. Hence, my coming here to Kaduna to spend time with you guys.
“I will be following you to wherever you are so as to know each and every problem you are facing, Alhaji Surajo added.
He also emphasised on the importance of discipline and has said that he will not allow any form of indiscipline from any player.
He also said that his Board will do everything humanly possible to fight for the players right as he want them to be more focus on the pitch.
According to Alhaji Surajo, Kano Pillars has been a threat to other teams in the country because of their free flowing Football and urged them to be more careful especially when they files out against Asanti Kotoko of Ghana in the CAF Champions League.
He further stated that he would not interfere on team selection and has called on the Technical crew to select Match Day squads based on merit.
Alhaji Surajo Shu’aibu Yahaya replaces Alhaji Tukur Babangida as the Chairman of Kano Pillars and was on Thursday assumed the leadership of the club in a colorful handing over ceremony held at the State’s Sports Commission.
His first real assignment is the upcoming CAF Champions League preliminary stage where the Sai Masu Gida will lock horns with Asanti Kotoko of Ghana on Sunday 10th August, 2019 at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano with a return leg in Kumasi in a forthnight.
